Ring, Ring! by Ebony Rattle, photography by Naomi Lee Beveridge

I always knew I wanted to be a creator. When I was a kid, I was always drawing and painting and reading and writing. I loved making things out of nothing – creating worlds and characters that lived only in my imagination and on the page. I still enjoy writing. But I knew, even then, that something was missing. It was completely by chance that I fell into sewing just under ten years ago. Since then, I’ve been making all sorts of creations through my small business – Emily Reginalds – while working with various theatre companies either front or back of house. More than just a hobby, theatre has become a second home for me.

My credits include; costume sewing team for Mamma Mia and Kinky Boots (CLOC Musical Theatre), costume assistant for Blitz by Ebony Rattle (Melbourne Fringe Festival), stage manager for Ring, Ring! by Ebony Rattle and Ellen Wiltshire (Replanted Festival for TheatreWorks), costume assistant and props associate for Voldemort and the Teenage Hogwarts Musical Parody and Paper Stars (Salty Theatre), costume team for In Their Dreams (Out of the Wings Theatre), costume design for Seussical the Inclusical (Stars and the Moon Theatre), and costume design for Love’s Bitter Mystery (Bloomsday in Melbourne).

More recent credits include wardrobe for Jett (Taymaynari Productions), wardrobe department at Monash Performing Arts Centres, wardrobe team for Les Misérables (CentreStage), co-costume designer with Amy Oakes for Measure of a Moment by Charles Mercovich (Punchbuggy Theatre), costume design forStranger Sings!
